I really need to get more detailed on the process. It is hard but easier than you think once you get the idea. Easy but slow. The groin cuts and placement are very tedious.
this one the ground floor has vaulted ceiling and floor on top. not sure what you mean 'how much do you do on the ground'. mark the groin pieces and cut on the scaffolding.
Hello Mzungu eriki, i have been wanting to know the science behind vaults and domes to better understand them and design suitably for the given space and span. How did you start to learn about it structurally, what did you refer to?
Beautiful vaulted brick construction!!! I only can dream to be skilled enough to create anything like this. Very cool!

ReplyDeleteI would like to build like this model, I wanted to have if the ceiling floor is vaulted too, ie on the floor the floor is a vault ceiling below Catalan vault type.

By the question 'how much do you do on the ground', I meant to ask, How much surface area is there in the lowest floor / the ground floor ?
ReplyDeleteOh ok, the ground floor is 6mx6m. it has column in the middle on ground floor.
DeleteThank You, Happy year ;)
